Hit And Run Sparks Nevada in Sparks, Nevada: On June 25, 2026, an intoxicated man was arrested after a string of alleged incidents in Sparks and Reno, Nevada, including threatening people with a black handgun from a white Jeep, hit-and-run traffic crashes at multiple Reno locations, and fleeing from law enforcement. Sparks Police were dispatched at 7:46 p.m. to the 200 block of 18th Street regarding the erratic, armed suspect; when officers tried to stop the Jeep, it fled at high speed. Reno Police reported at 8:07 p.m. that the suspect vehicle had been involved in multiple traffic crashes. Sparks officers later located the suspect near View Street and Prater Way; he fled on foot and was taken into custody at Rail City Casino. The suspect was booked on charges including felony assault with a deadly weapon, two counts of felony eluding, felony intimidating a public officer, reckless driving, and resisting a public officer, with additional charges pending from Reno Police.
