Hit And Run Sparks Nevada in Sparks, Nevada: On June 25, 2026, an intoxicated man, later identified as Johnny Felix Velasquez, was arrested after a string of alleged incidents in Sparks and Reno, Nevada, according to the Sparks Police Department. Officers were dispatched to the 200 block of 18th Street at 7:46 p.m. regarding an intoxicated man waving a black handgun from a white Jeep. When officers tried to stop the Jeep, it fled at high speed, and Reno Police later reported the vehicle had been involved in traffic crashes at multiple Reno locations. Velasquez was located near View Street and Prater Way, fled on foot, and was taken into custody at Rail City Casino before being booked on multiple felony charges.
