Shooting Smithfield North Carolina in Smithfield, North Carolina: Jesus Bermudez allegedly went to the AAF Flanders plant at 2121 Wal-Pat Road in Smithfield, North Carolina, around 5 a.m. and shot his wife, who was pronounced dead at the scene. Bermudez was taken into custody about four hours later at his home in Smithfield and charged with one count of first-degree murder. He was being held at the Johnston County Detention Center without bond.
