Semi jackknifes avoiding separate crash on US 20 Bypass

Semi Truck Crash Elkhart Indiana in Elkhart, Indiana: A semi-truck traveling west on the US 20 Bypass in Elkhart County, Indiana, attempted to slow to avoid a crash in front of it at approximately 1:30 p.m. on Thursday. The truck swerved, lost control, and jackknifed west of CR 7, with the front end striking the concrete median. The driver was transported to Elkhart General Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. All lanes were later cleared and reopened.
