San Diego athlete Summer Nash found dead in ocean
Drowning California Today in California: Summer Nash, 34, a former San Diego State volleyball player and coach, was found floating in the Pacific Ocean on June 18 near the 5000 block of Newport Avenue, close to the Ocean Beach Pier. Lifeguards pulled her from the water around 3 p.m., and she was pronounced dead at the scene. The San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office identified her, and the San Diego Police Department is investigating her cause of death.
