Shooting San Antonio Texas in San Antonio, Texas: San Antonio Police Officer Matthew Kory fatally shot Hector Carreno, 31, on May 29 after police said the wanted felony suspect drew a handgun during a foot pursuit on the city's West Side. Officers had responded to an anonymous tip that Carreno, who was wanted on multiple felony warrants for possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of a firearm, was behind a home in the 2900 block of Chihuahua Street near Our Lady of the Lake University. Body camera video shows Kory firing four shots after Carreno drew a handgun with his right hand; Police Chief William McManus said Carreno was struck twice. No officers or bystanders were injured, and the case was referred to the Bexar County District Attorney's Office for review.
