Roma man facing elevated charges following cyclist's death
Bicycle Crash Roma Texas in Roma, Texas: A 71-year-old Roma man, Alfredo Yanez, was indicted on charges of collision involving serious bodily injury, collision involving death, and manslaughter after he allegedly crashed into and killed 30-year-old cyclist Eric Lee Flores before fleeing the scene. Yanez and his common-law wife, Silvia Galindo Martinez, were arrested on March 23 at his home in Roma. Yanez was initially booked on March 24 on a charge of collision causing serious bodily injury and released on a $50,000 bond on April 8, but was rearrested on April 14 after Flores' death and his charges were elevated.
