Pedestrian Hit Bridgeport Connecticut in Bridgeport, Connecticut: A 71-year-old Bridgeport man was struck by a black Honda Civic while attempting to cross Water Street from the eastbound sidewalk near the intersection of Water Street and John Street around 6:52 a.m. Friday. The pedestrian suffered serious injuries and was transported to St. Vincent's Hospital in critical condition. The 29-year-old driver of the Honda Civic, who was traveling north on Water Street, did not report any injuries. The Bridgeport Police Accident Reconstruction Team and Traffic Division are investigating the crash.
