At approximately 5:46 a.m., the Aiken County Coroner's Office responded to the area of Rutland Drive and Northland Boulevard regarding an accident involving a vehicle and a pedestrian. The pedestrian, identified as Norris of Chesnee, S.C., was pronounced deceased on scene at 6:27 a.m. The Aiken County Coroner's Office and the Aiken Department of Public Safety are continuing the investigation.
