Bicycle Crash North Carolina Today in North Carolina: A bicyclist was struck by the mirror of a pickup truck on Rocky Run Road near Jasper Road in Onslow County on Wednesday, June 17. The bicyclist, Sondra Smith, was riding against the flow of traffic and the driver could not see her in time because of oncoming traffic. Smith died from her injuries on Sunday, June 21. The crash remains under investigation by the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.
