One dead after fire at Eugene apartment complex

Vehicle Fire Eugene Oregon in Eugene, Oregon: One person died and another was severely injured in a house fire in the 2500 block of Brittania Place in Eugene's Churchill neighborhood on June 25. Firefighters responded just before 11 p.m. to find a large volume fire coming from one unit of a two-story four-plex, and a second alarm was requested due to challenging fire conditions. One person was located dead at the scene and another was transported to PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend for treatment of serious injuries. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
