Dui Crash Florida Today in Florida: An 18-year-old Ocala man was arrested and charged with vehicular homicide and reckless driving in connection with a deadly crash that killed a woman in Marion County earlier in 2026. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash occurred just before 5:30 p.m. on April 19 at the intersection of Pine Road and Hemlock Road, when a 2021 Infiniti Q50 traveling north on Pine Road collided with a 2017 Hyundai Elantra traveling west on Hemlock Road. Troopers determined the Infiniti was traveling about 90 mph in a posted 30 mph zone, causing the Hyundai to rotate onto the shoulder and eject its driver, who landed in a nearby yard. The Hyundai's 48-year-old front-seat passenger, an Ocala woman, was pronounced dead at the scene, while the 38-year-old driver suffered critical injuries and remained hospitalized in critical condition as of June 26.
