Assault Wellesley Massachusetts in Wellesley, Massachusetts: James Floyd Bennett, III, 24, of Wellesley, Massachusetts, allegedly stabbed his 58-year-old father, James Bennett, at Phillips Park just after 6 p.m. Thursday. The father and son had been playing soccer and talking about the World Cup when the son stabbed the father about 20 times, according to prosecutors. The victim was taken to Newton Wellesley Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The suspect returned home, showered, bagged his clothes and the knife, took a photo of himself, and then surrendered to Wellesley police; he was held without bail at his arraignment Friday.
