Newark Man Accused of Beating Elderly Man With 2x4

Assault Newark New York in Newark, New York: Newark Police are investigating an attack on an elderly man. 39-year-old Brandon Watt allegedly assaulted a 70-year-old man with a two-by-four, leaving the victim hospitalized with a broken nose and eye socket. Police say Watt had hurled racial slurs at the man during an incident earlier this month. The Police Chief says the case is not being investigated as a hate crime.
