New documents on tour bus crash on New York State Thruway

Car Crash Pembroke New York in Pembroke, New York: A tour bus traveling from Niagara Falls back to New York City rolled off the New York State Thruway near Pembrokill, N.Y., killing five people and injuring dozens. According to newly released NTSB documents, driver Bin Shao, 56, told investigators a non-empty water bottle rolled to his foot at the front of the bus, causing him to lose control. The documents also revealed that eight interviewed passengers said the driver did not conduct a pre-trip safety briefing, and the bus had only 59 seat belts for 61 passenger seats, with 54 people on board at the time of the crash.
