Assault Wellesley Massachusetts in Wellesley, Massachusetts: A 58-year-old man was stabbed multiple times near a playground slide at Phillips Park in Wellesley, Massachusetts, just after 6 p.m. Thursday. Wellesley police responded to a 911 call and found the victim with a stab wound; he was transported to Newton Wellesley Hospital where he was pronounced dead. James Floyd Bennett, III, 26, of Wellesley, was arrested and will be arraigned in Dedham District Court. Massachusetts State Police and Wellesley police are investigating.
