Semi Truck Crash Atlanta Georgia in Atlanta, Georgia: A man was shot and killed by Oconee County deputies on Thursday evening after pointing a weapon at authorities. Deputies were called to reports of a suicidal man off Friar Road just before 7:30 p.m. The man had harmed himself with a knife and said he would continue doing so before deputies arrived. During the encounter, the man pointed a weapon at deputies, who shot him; lifesaving efforts were performed, but he was pronounced dead. No deputies were injured, and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation took over the case.
