Man Killed After Being Struck by Amtrak Train in Old Orchar…

Car Crash Old Orchard Beach Maine in Old Orchard Beach, Maine: A 51-year-old Old Orchard Beach man died Thursday afternoon after being struck by a northbound Amtrak train near 133 Temple Avenue. Old Orchard Beach Police and Fire/Rescue were dispatched at approximately 2:18 p.m. on June 25 to the railroad tracks following reports of a train incident. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said alcohol is believed to have been a factor and that the man was alone and walking near the tracks when he was struck. The investigation is being conducted by Old Orchard Beach Police with assistance from Amtrak Police and the Saco Police Department.
