Car Crash Old Orchard Beach Maine in Old Orchard Beach, Maine: A 51-year-old Old Orchard Beach man was struck and killed by an Amtrak Downeaster train traveling north near 133 Temple Ave. shortly before 2:20 p.m. Thursday. Police and firefighters were dispatched to the railroad tracks, where the man was pronounced dead at the scene. Witnesses told police the man was walking alone near the tracks moments before being struck. Police said alcohol appears to have been a factor in the incident, and the victim's name was not released pending family notification.
