Macon teen driving moped killed after crash in Indiana
Motorcycle Crash Indiana Howard Indiana in Indiana HOWARD, Indiana: A Macon teenager driving a moped was killed in a crash in Indiana. According to the Howard County Sheriff's Office, deputies were sent to the intersection of CR 750 West and CR 00 North/South on Thursday at 1:51 p.m. for a crash involving a motorcycle, with one person reportedly unconscious. At the scene, investigators determined that a Dodge Ram 2500 pulling a trailer was going south through the intersection along CR 750 when 13-year-old Evan Shaffer of Macon, driving a moped, crashed into the Dodge Ram. Shaffer was pronounced dead at the scene, and the driver of the Dodge Ram was taken to a hospital for a blood draw. The Howard County Sheriff's Office confirmed an autopsy was scheduled for the teen on Friday, with manner of death and toxicology reports pending.
