Vehicle Fire Lyndon Kentucky in Lyndon, Kentucky: A fire tore through the Brookside Apartments at 8117 Copper Creek Drive near Oxmoor Mall in Lyndon on Thursday around 3:51 p.m. One person was hospitalized with significant injuries. Approximately 40 firefighters from St. Matthews Fire and EMS, Anchorage-Middletown Fire and EMS, and Jeffersontown Fire spent nearly two hours fighting the flames, which spread to the attic. One firefighter was treated at the scene for a heat-related illness, and the American Red Cross assisted displaced residents. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
