Pedestrian Hit Half Moon Bay California in Half Moon Bay, California: A 20-year-old woman sunbathing on the sand at Francis Beach (Kelly Beach) on the southern end of Half Moon Bay State Beach in Northern California was run over by a California State Parks lifeguard patrol truck. The San Mateo County Sheriff's Office, Coastside Fire, and State Park Peace Officers responded to the scene. The victim's injuries were not believed to be life-threatening. Investigators said initial reports indicated the driver may have been distracted.
