Police Pursuit Crash Kirksville Missouri in Kirksville, Missouri: On the night of July 1, 2025, officers with the La Plata Police Department attempted to stop a sport utility vehicle in Macon County, Missouri, and the driver, identified as Casey Wayne Allen of Kirksville, allegedly failed to stop, initiating a pursuit. During the pursuit, a La Plata police officer crashed a patrol vehicle while Allen's SUV allegedly continued northbound. The 29-year-old officer sustained minor injuries and was transported to Samaritan Hospital of Macon for treatment. The pursuit continued through Kirksville before Allen's vehicle reportedly left the roadway and entered a wooded area, and Allen was later charged with felony resisting arrest and multiple misdemeanor offenses.
