Dui Crash Katy Texas in Katy, Texas: A Katy man was charged with intoxication manslaughter following a June 23 early-morning crash on Westheimer Parkway that killed the driver of another vehicle. According to a probable cause affidavit, Dejon Jahmai Paul Fortune allegedly told Fort Bend County Sheriff's deputies he was a passenger in his own white 2021 BMW X5, contradicting witnesses who said he was driving at 70-80 mph. Fortune, who had been celebrating his 20th birthday, showed signs of intoxication and performed poorly on field sobriety tests. The victim, Sung Bae, 53, was pronounced dead at Memorial Hermann Hospital after his black 2024 Cadillac XT4 collided with Fortune's BMW in the northwest lanes of Westheimer Parkway near Cinco Ranch Boulevard.
