Dui Crash Indiana Today in Indiana: A Brown County jury convicted Jared R. Kipfer of operating while intoxicated with a prior conviction as a Level 6 felony, as well as operating with an alcohol concentration equivalent exceeding .15 with a prior conviction, also a Level 6 felony, after a two-day trial that began June 3. The case stemmed from an April 1, 2025, incident in which a citizen called 911 at 9:55 a.m. reporting Kipfer driving on the wrong side of the road and later identified him as the driver of a truck that ended up in a creek bed. Kipfer claimed he had consumed multiple 16-ounce shots of vodka in the 10 to 20 minutes between being seen driving and officers arriving at his home, where he was found in the passenger seat; he nearly struck a good Samaritan while pulling away from the accident scene. He was acquitted of operating while intoxicated with endangerment and also pleaded guilty to driving while suspended.
