Head-On Vehicle Crash with Bus Sparks Fire on Highway 101
Car Crash Los Alamos California in Los Alamos, California: Multiple people were injured when a wrong-way passenger vehicle and a passenger bus collided head-on and sparked a fire at approximately 3:17 a.m. on southbound Highway 101 south of Palmer Road, north of Los Alamos. The passenger vehicle became fully engulfed in fire upon impact, and the fire spread to the bus and adjacent brush in the center divider. All passengers exited the bus and were positively accounted for before fire spread to the bus. Fourteen people on the bus sustained minor injuries and were transported by ground ambulances to local hospitals. CHP officers from the Santa Maria area were investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
