Car Crash Louisiana Today in Louisiana: At approximately 5:20 a.m., Louisiana State Police Troop G responded to a two-vehicle head-on crash on Louisiana Highway 175 near Scott Road in DeSoto Parish. A 2020 Chevrolet Traverse driven by 49-year-old Carlos Helm of Mansfield was traveling north when it crossed the centerline and collided with a southbound 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe driven by 39-year-old Alonzo Thompkins of Arlington, TX. Both drivers were properly restrained and sustained fatal injuries, and both were pronounced deceased at the scene. The crash remains under investigation.
