Bicycle Crash Cranford New Jersey in Cranford, New Jersey: Vincent Battiloro, 18, of Garwood, is being tried as an adult on two counts of first-degree murder in connection with the deaths of Cranford teens Maria Niotis and Isabella Salas, both 17. The girls were struck by a motor vehicle allegedly driven by Battiloro while riding an electric bicycle on Burnside Avenue on Sept. 29, 2025. Police found them with serious injuries; they were taken to local hospitals and pronounced dead. Battiloro was additionally charged with leaving the scene of an accident with injury, failure to report an accident, reckless driving, and numerous vehicle-document violations.
