Fatal hit-and-run victim named in Lafayette crash

Pedestrian Hit Lafayette Louisiana in Lafayette, Louisiana: The Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office identified the victim in a fatal hit-and-run as 51-year-old Charles Kountz II. Deputies responded to the 900 block of Marteau Road shortly before 3 a.m. on Wednesday and found Kountz dead in the roadway. Deputies suspect he was struck and killed by an unknown vehicle traveling southbound, and the driver has not been located.
