Car Crash Los Alamos California in Los Alamos, California: At least one person was killed and 14 people were injured early Friday morning when a wrong-way driver traveling northbound in the southbound lanes of Highway 101 collided head-on with a Chumash Casino Resort bus south of Palmer Road, north of Los Alamos. The passenger vehicle became fully engulfed in fire upon impact, with flames spreading to the bus and adjacent brush in the center divider. All bus passengers exited and were accounted for before fire spread to the bus; 14 bus occupants sustained minor injuries and were transported by ground ambulances to local hospitals. The California Highway Patrol was investigating the fatal crash, which left burned-out wreckage of both vehicles and forced lane closures on both sides of the highway.
