Fatal head-on crash with casino bus sparks fire on Hwy 101
Car Crash Palmer Roa California in Palmer Roa, California: A wrong-way driver on Highway 101 collided head-on with a Chumash Casino bus early Friday morning, sparking a fire that engulfed the passenger vehicle and spread to the bus and adjacent brush. At least one person was killed and 14 bus passengers sustained minor injuries and were transported by ground ambulances to local hospitals. Santa Barbara County Fire, California Highway Patrol, and American Medical Response responded to the southbound Highway 101 scene south of Palmer Road, north of Los Alamos. CHP officers from the Santa Maria area were investigating the fatal crash.
