Dump truck bursts into flames after Fauquier County crash

Hit And Run Bealeton Virginia in Bealeton, Virginia: On June 25, 2026, deputies responded to a vehicle fire involving a dump truck on Route 17 in Bealeton, Fauquier County. The dump truck caused a three-vehicle crash and became fully engulfed in flames, after which the driver fled on foot. K-9 and drone units searched for the driver, who was located walking on railroad tracks and identified as Alexander Marin, 32, of Herndon, who was intoxicated. Marin faces charges including felony hit and run, drunk in public, felony damage to property, driving with a suspended license, driving a commercial vehicle without a commercial driver's license, and reckless driving.
