Car Crash Deadly Texas in deadly, Texas: A Texas Department of Public Safety trooper, Zachary Vasquez, 26, of Alpine, was seriously injured in a deadly head-on collision on Highway 67 about five miles east of Alpine in Brewster County at approximately 7:36 a.m. Tuesday. The other driver, identified as Hernandez, was pronounced dead at the scene. Vasquez was flown by helicopter to University Medical Center in El Paso, while his K-9 partner Guido was not injured.
