Shooting Kansas City Missouri in Kansas City, Missouri: A deadly domestic violence incident in Kansas City led police to begin a homicide investigation on the night of June 25, 2026. Officers were called to the 2800 block of E. 6th Street at 6:15 p.m. on a reported domestic violence disturbance; a group directed them to a home where a woman was being assaulted. Inside, police found 45-year-old Antwala Kelly with gunshot wounds; she was transported by ambulance to an area hospital and pronounced dead shortly before 8 p.m. A preliminary investigation determined Kelly had been in an argument with a man that escalated into physical violence, and the man, identified as a subject of interest, was found inside the home and taken into custody.
