Dog Bite Florida Today in Florida: Linda Cutler, 29, pleaded not guilty to a second-degree manslaughter charge after her two dogs, Max and Mako, escaped from her yard by climbing over a fence and fatally attacked 50-year-old neighbor Jody Cowan while Cowan was walking her dog in Brevard County, Florida. Cowan died several hours later at a trauma center. Animal Services had previously responded to numerous complaints involving the dogs before the fatal attack. Cutler was arrested the Wednesday before the plea.
