Pedestrian Hit South Carolina Today in South Carolina: A 2025 Kia Sedan struck two pedestrians near Whitehall and Pearman Dairy roads in Anderson County late Monday night. The victims were in the roadway attempting to fix a tire on a vehicle disabled from a prior wreck when they were struck. Tyheim D. Pickens, 24, of Anderson, died at the scene, and Adrian McCants, 22, of Florence, SC, was transported to AnMed where he died Thursday afternoon from multiple traumatic injuries. The Anderson County Coroner's Office and South Carolina Highway Patrol are investigating; the coroner ruled the manner of death accidental.
