COURT ROUNDUP: Two More Lawsuits Filed Against Lamplighter…
Toxic Exposure Eureka California in Eureka, California: Two additional lawsuits were filed against the owners of the Lamplighter Inn in Eureka, a motel where two women died five days apart in the same room from carbon monoxide exposure. The lawsuits, filed by Reuben Perez and Eugene Kick, allege they sustained serious injuries from exposure to lethal levels of carbon monoxide in their hotel room on February 21, and seek damages for negligence and failure to maintain a functional carbon monoxide detector. The motel owners, Harjinder and Surinder Heer, are accused of acting with malice and conscious disregard for safety, with elevated carbon monoxide levels and no detectors found in the room by officials.
