Car Crash Motor North Carolina in motor, North Carolina: A Columbus County sheriff's deputy was killed in a motor vehicle collision on Thursday morning. According to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, David McPherson of Clarkton was driving an 18-wheeler when he struck Deputy Damien Draper Bost's patrol vehicle from behind. Bost was slowly driving in the median protecting a construction crew painting lines along US 74-76; McPherson's tractor-trailer also struck the painting truck and then caught fire. McPherson has been arrested and charged with misdemeanor death by vehicle, reckless driving to endanger, and failure to reduce speed.
