Shooting Chicago Illinois in Chicago, Illinois: A 41-year-old man was fatally shot on the Near West Side of Chicago on Thursday afternoon around 2:40 p.m. in the 500 block of South Claremont Avenue. Police said the victim was getting out of a vehicle when another car drove up and multiple people inside opened fire. The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office identified the victim as Orlando Tobias, 41, who later died in connection with the incident. Dozens of evidence markers were placed at the crime scene as police investigated.
