Car Crash California Today in California: A driver crashed a grey sedan into the back of a parked Caltrans maintenance truck on the northbound 5 Freeway in Pacoima at approximately 10:50 a.m. on Thursday, June 25, 2026. Caltrans electrical maintenance workers were repairing a damaged light pole near the 118 Freeway when the vehicle struck one of their parked trucks. The vehicle reportedly caught fire, and Caltrans workers pulled the driver from the vehicle before he was transported to the hospital in unknown condition. No Caltrans workers were injured.
