Semi Truck Crash Wichita Kansas in Wichita, Kansas: A two-vehicle crash occurred in Chase County, Kansas on Thursday afternoon just after 3:30 pm at Kansas Turnpike mile marker 103.3 southbound. A 2025 semi freightliner left the roadway for unlisted reasons and tipped onto its side, blocking all southbound traffic and one lane of northbound traffic. A 2019 Mercedes GLA-Class traveling northbound was struck by a piece of concrete wall debris. The semi driver, 27-year-old Ekamjot Singh Aulakh of Fresno, California, suffered suspected serious injuries and was transported to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita. The Mercedes driver, 42-year-old Scott Randall Newby of Edmond, Oklahoma, suffered no apparent injury. Both were wearing safety restraints.
