One boat overtook the other about 1.5 miles from shore as both were returning to port; two people ended up in the water and were pulled out by other passengers before authorities arrived. Five people were hospitalized in serious to grave condition, and 26-year-old Johanna H. Gregory was later confirmed dead by the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.
