Workplace Accident Rye Colorado in Rye, Colorado: Daniel Bishop, son of Bishop Castle creator Jim Bishop, broke multiple bones while working on a structure in the courtyard near Bishop Castle in Rye, Colorado. The accident led the castle to cancel its inaugural Bishop Castle Medieval Fair scheduled for August 2026. His wife Connie "Sage" Bishop, his daughter, and other family members are managing the castle during his recovery. The fair had been planned to raise money for the Foundation for Newborn Heart Surgery, and donations remain open via the Bishop Castle Venmo page.
