Berks man, 70, fatally injured in Route 61 motorcycle crash

Motorcycle Crash Shoemakersville Pennsylvania in Shoemakersville, Pennsylvania: A 70-year-old Muhlenberg Township man was fatally injured in a one-vehicle motorcycle crash on Route 61 just north of Shoemakersville Road in Perry Township. The rider lost control of the cruiser-style motorcycle while traveling north in the right lane about 12:40 p.m. Thursday. Medics from Northern Berks Ambulance began lifesaving treatment before transporting him to Reading Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 3:02 p.m. The Berks County Coroner ruled the cause of death as blunt force trauma with accidental manner of death.
