Officers arrived to find a victim suffering from critical injuries following a stabbing, and the victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Investigators identified Abel Perez, 37, of Bangor, as the alleged stabber, but he had fled the scene by the time officers arrived, and the victim's vehicle had been stolen. On Monday, the Guilderland, New York, Police Department located and stopped the stolen vehicle, arresting Perez, who has since been extradited to Maine and is being held at the Penobscot County Jail.
