Pedestrian Hit Albuquerque New Mexico in Albuquerque, New Mexico: A Nissan pickup truck struck and killed a pedestrian who was crossing Central Avenue in Albuquerque's International District. The crash occurred near the intersection of Central Avenue and Madeira Drive, just east of San Mateo Boulevard, at around 1 a.m. on Friday. The pedestrian sustained significant injuries at the scene and later died at a local hospital. The pickup truck remained on scene and was cooperative with detectives; police do not suspect impairment or speed as contributing factors.
