Hit And Run Anchorage Alaska in Anchorage, Alaska: An Anchorage man is facing felony charges after police say he struck a bicyclist with his vehicle, fled the scene, and was later found to be under the influence of cannabis. The crash happened Wednesday afternoon at the intersection of Abbott Road and East 88th Avenue, where a bicyclist using the crosswalks was hit by an eastbound Chrysler driven by 34-year-old Matthew Finn. The bicyclist was taken to a local hospital with injuries. Finn drove away after the crash, but a witness followed his vehicle and helped officers locate him near Boniface Parkway and Northern Lights Boulevard, and he was arrested on charges of first-degree assault, leaving the scene of an accident, and failure to render aid.
