The crash happened Wednesday afternoon at the intersection of Abbott Road and East 88th Avenue, where a bicyclist using the crosswalks was hit by an eastbound Chrysler driven by 34-year-old Matthew Finn. The bicyclist was taken to a local hospital with injuries. Finn drove away after the crash, but a witness followed his vehicle and helped officers locate him near Boniface Parkway and Northern Lights Boulevard, and he was arrested on charges of first-degree assault, leaving the scene of an accident, and failure to render aid.
