Abbeville Woman Killed In Johnston Street Crash Identified

Motorcycle Crash Lafayette Louisiana in Lafayette, Louisiana: A 50-year-old Abbeville woman was killed in a crash involving a motorcycle and a pickup truck on Johnston Street in Lafayette. The collision occurred at approximately 4:28 p.m. on June 25 in the southbound lanes of the 6900 block of Johnston Street. The victim, Jolene Wheelock, was a passenger on the motorcycle and was pronounced dead at the scene. The Lafayette Police Traffic Unit is continuing to investigate the circumstances of the crash.
