40-year-old man died in big apartment fire in Lyndon

Vehicle Fire Brookside Kentucky in Brookside, Kentucky: A massive fire broke out at Brookside Apartments in Lyndon (Linden) on a Thursday afternoon just before 4 p.m., tearing through the roof of the building. More than 40 firefighters from Anchorage, Middletown, Saint Matthews and Jeffersontown responded and battled the flames from the ground and above. One person was taken to the hospital with significant injuries, and one firefighter was treated at the scene for heat-related issues and released. The fire was under control within two hours.
