3 hurt in multi-vehicle crash on Ogle Co. bridge
Car Crash Illinois Today in Illinois: Three people were taken to the hospital following a multi-vehicle crash on the Grand Detour bridge in Ogle County, Illinois. Around 8:15 a.m. on June 25, 2026, deputies responded to a three-vehicle crash on the 8000 block of S. IL Route 2 on the bridge south of Grand Detour near Dixon. An SUV driven by Tamara McCormick, 44, of Tampico, swerved into the other lane to avoid a head-on collision with a Nissan; the Nissan struck the SUV's passenger side, causing it to spin out, hit a guard rail, and collide with a second northbound vehicle driven by Jerry Hose, 37, of Oregon, which also struck the guard rail. Zeciri, Hose, and an SUV passenger were transported to a hospital in Dixon for treatment of suspected minor injuries; Zeciri was cited for failure to reduce speed, improper lane usage, no valid registration, and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
